California Mandatory dental examination for Entering Kindergardeners
A dental examination is required by State Law for kindergarten students (Education Code 49452.8). This dental check up is recommended at the kindergarten level but not earlier than 12 months before admission to kindergarten (or first grade if this is the first school admission) and not later than May 31.
